I have all my PR stuff from the consulate. I'm having difficulty getting my title/registration for my new/used car I purchased in Nov. 07. I'm supposed to have the sales receipt (yes), title (no) and recall clearance letter (no). I've filed a formal complaint against the dealer for his lack of due diligence but that doesn't get me the title any sooner AND it doesn't get me the recall clearance letter.
We're leaving March 30, 2008. What will happen at the border when we try to cross with this vehicle without the title and clearance letter? Suggestions at this point?
