I am in India since 2017. I lived in United States from 2014-2017 and I have an unpaid credit card due in US since 2017 which is sent to collection agency.
All i want to know is, will there be a criminal case on me and will it appear on the US police clearance certificate if I am applying for Canada PR .
I am ready to pay the dues now, as my financials are better now.
Please let me know on this

Yes, It will appear on the Clearance certificate if the Bank had decided to press charges.
Better talk with the bank and sort it out before applying for the clearance letter

No! It will NOT appear on your US PCC. However, it will appear on your US credit history, which is not required for your Canada PR application.

If there is a warrant against you for not appearing for a court case [that is if the bank or the collection agency decided to go to the courts to recover the dues], then, yes, it will appear on your PCC, otherwise, No.
