Course is not Available

hi folks I have a situation.

My brother he’s currently studying Canada and came to Canada in MAY 2022 however his course supposed to complete the by the end of December 2022 but the next course is not available until May 2023, in other words his next course for the winter January 2023 term is not available at the moment.

1. Would it impact his work permit?

2. Since his study permit expires in December 2022 if he starts second course in May 2023 is that gap considered as official drop or unofficial drop??

He must remain a full-time student during his program except the last semester. During the last semester he can be part-time if he only needs 1-2 classes to complete his degree. If he doesn’t study for a full semester he’s it will impact his ability to qualify for PGWP.

it was One year graduate program
he Applied in JAN 2022 Winter term but his visa got delayed by Immigration so he had to deferred his Intake to MAY 2022, And he got only 8 months of Study visa no Extra 30-60 days to Apply for an extension.
Thats Why he is looking for a Course for JAN 2023 just to continue hus study but none of the Colleges are willing to Accept him because his First semester is not even complete yet. And his Study permit and Program both are finishing in DEC 2022, So Therefore we are looking for MAY 2023 Course because by the time he completes his study the, JAN 2023 intake would no longer available.

He has to wait until he has finished his first semester to apply for a second program. Once he has been accepted he can apply for the study permit extension.
