Country of residence question?

Hi,

This is about my wife's express entry application. Currently she is in Canada as Visitor, so does she need to enter the country of residence as Canada? if yes, does she need to add the current canada address in address history?

The country of residence is the country where you LEGALLY reside. As a visitor she does not have a residency status.

Hi. A related question. I was a student in Philippines for a number of years on a student visa. So am i supposed to consider it as a residency status (and subsequently not mention it in the form) or not ? thanks.

Yes, you were a resident of the Philippines, and you should add it in the address history.

Thank you for the reply but my question was regarding mentioning it in the travel history form which is different than the address history (IMM5562).
It says "List all trips taken outside your country of origin or country of residence in the last 10 years" . so what should i do ? because then id be having like 40 entries just on Philippines alone.
please help !!

Yes, but just put one entry (row) for your stay in the Philippines as a student. And since you stayed there for more than 6 months, you also need to get NBI Clearance.

i dont understand. One entry ?
i'm supposed to enter date (From, to), Number of days and purpose of travel. How would one entry look like ? 2010-01 to 2015-01 ? i have made many trips in the middle.

Yes, you also need to enter those trips you made to other countries, except to your country of origin. At that time, Philippines was your country of residence.

In the eAPR, from date will be the issue date of your student visa, and end date will be the expiry date.

Number of days is entered in the Travel History form. If you have a total of more than 20 travels, expect an ADR for that.
