hello. my father is a doctor of medicine, he's planning to apply for resident of canada by skilled and professional class
and I might apply as self employed class...
my question, is there a differnce in processing time between apply in country embassy, and send the application to canada?
thank you.

Im not so sure but I think it is the embassy that will be responsible for your application.

1. If he is eligible when the FSW re-opens, he has to send the application to CPP Sydney Nova Scotia.
2. The application will be processed, if approved, in either visa office responsible for his country of citizenship or a country where he has been admitted as a resident for 1 year.
3. Processing times are here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/skilled-fed.asp
