Hi All,

I was working in Athabasca University for 1.5 years as a postdoctoral fellow and got a 2 years postdoctoral fellow position in Guelph University, which indicate that I have at least one year work experience and have at least 1 years of job offer.

Note that "postdoctoral fellow" don't require an LMIA (it is LMIA expert for employer specific region). While I Selected "NO" against the following question:

Has (Name of the Person) been working full-time for the employer on their current work permit for at least one year? (Or for an equal amount of part time work?)

It did not award the extra 50 points.

My question is: if you change your work after working at least 1 year, as I did, then you can't claim point even if you have offer exceeding 1 year? Or, as I already have at least 1 year experience in Athabasca University, and have more than 1 years offer in Guelph University, I can answer "YES" to the question. Note the word "for the employer on their current work permit" in the question, meaning that change of job does not help?

Regards,
Narayan Shrestha

DelPiero07: That means I can't get the points?

Why somebody needed to work under the same employer with whom he/she worked for at least one year? So, it is only when the employer that you worked for at least a year,
