Hi, this is how the system will go...

Process in a Nutshell:
Stage-1: [CIO stage -U have passed that] Send Initial Apps+Processing Fees to CIO-NS > Eligibility Check > Issue of AOR+120 days Letter >
Stage-2: [CHC stage -here u r now] Send Full Docs+RPRF to the Local Visa Office > File on Queue > e-Cas: "Received by Visa Office" > Qualitative Check+PSDEC > Issue of 2nd AOR > Background Check > Issue of Additional docs Request [if any] > 1st BF'D > e-Cas: "In Progress" > Send Addnl. Docs > Issue of Med Request > 2nd BF'D >
Stage-3: Meds Sent > e-Cas: "Medical Results Recd." > Issue of PPR > Send Passport/s > Security Check > Visa/s Stamped > e-Cas: "Decision Made" >
Stage-4: Return of 'Stamped' Passport/s+COPR > Landing at the POE > e-Cas: "Completed".

Hope that helps.

BFD means bring forward date. it is the date on which your case is brought to visa officer attention for formal assessment. yuor whole case moves from BFd to BFD. nonetheless it is not guaranteed that your file is viewed on exactly as BFD since it depends on the case volume and no of factors at your visa officw

SK,

PSDEC= Paper Screening Decision
BF'D= Bring Forward Date [as PK rightly said]

Sorry, that tag to your file No. is unknown to me. [Seniors Leon, PMM et all plz advice]

Regards,
Qorax.

Qorax, thnx for the stagewise breakup.

Correct me if I am wrong, but it seems that everything works online via e-Cas.

Except for Request of additional documents (if any) and Medical request which would be done via postal mail only.

No. Nothing is 'online'. The eCAS is only an indicator. All correspondences to u shall come by either email or regular post. If your email ID is there on the apps, the CHC might contact u vide email as well. But, usually everything shall be vide post.

Sometimes they send the PPR by email & very rarely the Meds by that mode too.

Qorax.

List of all possible documents which I could expect to receive via post include:
1. 120 Day Letter
2. Additional document request (if any)
3. Medical Request
4. PPR
5. COPR + Passport

You also mentioned Background Check (stage 2) and Security Check (stage 3). How does the cic perform these checks?

-thx once again

That was an exhaustive process flow by qorax which is self explanatory.

These days , there is a small change though (atleast for CHC , ND).

They club the meds request and the PPR and send it to you in a single correspondence.

So , the PPR does not necessarily follow the "Medicals done" stage , but might come along with the meds request itself.

Cheers

First, this is classic! The way you detail the steps is just superb!

By the way Qorax, are these steps always adhered to? Take a look at the old rules application system, the steps are sometimes totally mixed up.You get applicants getting meds and RPRF together, others get Meds and PP others get PP,Meds and RPRF together. It's becoming difficult to predict the next CIC reaction!!

Classic example is..I applied in 2007,In 2009 I got document update request and 6 months later still in 2009 got an asking for Passport/Meds/RPRF . I am using the word "asking for PP"since I am not sure if it was a PPR. With a PPR one has to get an "UIC" form, which I never got on it's own (the form), however, some of the UIC info, appeared in one of the forms that was to be included during the update period. Then in January 2010, I got a request for one more additional document.

Given that I submitted my PP/RPRF/Meds, 3 months ago,What stage could I be at??
