Hi all!

This question is specifically for people from visa exempt countries. I received my RPRF request yesterday and promptly paid the fees. I did my medicals upfront last month and ECAS showed "Medicals have been received" on June 22. I want to believe this is all good news for my application and I will receive residency soon, since we are skipping the PPR step.

However, I wonder at this stage if I should expect any more email from CIC or if I will receive my COPR directly in the mail? Do they send an email to let you know that residency has been approved? Or should I just sit by my mailbox for now?

Thanks for your help!

You probably will received either mail/email to send a copy of every page of your passport, then the COPR will be issued.

I'm from visa-exempt and after I paid upfront RPRF, my COPR was posted to me in the mail and that was it!

How long did it take you to receive it in the mail?

I did my Medical in Jan, paid upfront that day, then got COPR 2 months later in March.

Sorry new question - how long after ECAS showed "We started processing your application on xxx" did you receive your COPR? Did your ECAS change to "Decision made"? Thanks for the help again :)

Hi lilzz, maybe my timeline will give you some info:

applied April 17th 2014 with an upfront medical included
AOR May 10th 2014
'we started processing your application on February 23rd 2015'
RPRF March 10th 2015, paid right away
'we received your medical' and status changed into 'decision made' July 1st
Waiting for CoPR since (íf the decision is positive)! Have not heard anything since and cannot reach CIC to check...:(

You're welcome.

Here's my full timeline:
We received your application for permanent residence on May 20, 2014.
We started processing your application on March 18, 2015.
Medical results have been received.
A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.
You entered Canada at the Douglas office on April 11, 2015 and became a Permanent Resident.

"Decision Made" came about 2 weeks after "we started processing" I think.

You should probably be expecting your COPR next week then. Are you in or outside Canada?

I got my CoPR via mail about 5 days after DM. My Ecas went straight into DM after I paid RPRF :) I just landed by crossing the US border and getting back to Canada :) :) :)
I am sure, you'll get your CoPR very soon :) Best!

Thanks everybody for your responses! And congrats Rebetha82! :) I see that depending on cases, 'Decision made' can come 2 weeks or 6 months after "We started processing your application...". Crossing fingers that I will only have to wait a few more weeks :)
