COPR & Landing

Hi Guys,
I received my COPR letter yesterday (common law) CEC route. I will be flying back home at Christmas and we hope to activate the COPR on the way back. We will be getting married when we are back home, will this cause any hassle coming back? Or should I arrange to go the border and activate ASAP? Then I worry we may not get the PR card in time. Thanks
