So I have my COPR in hand! woooooooo!!! Now i have some questions while i prepare for my landing.

B4 form for goods and goods to follow...
so the information I received had NO mention on how to bring my stuff over to canada. Is this normal or was something missing from my letter? I went to one the links they provided and found the B4 form. Do I fill out 2 of these, one for the items i'm bringing AND 1 for the items that will follow? There is a box to check "to follow" so i'm not sure if i need 2 forms or if 1 will be ok.

Question asked at landing...
also, i know they ask (and it's even written on the COPR) if I've ever been refused entry into canada. Anyone know what happens when you answer yes to this question at landing? I am super nervous something will go wrong because of it. Considering it was an exclusion order, I've enterd canada multiple times since, and have been approved as a PR, I'm guessing it won't be a big deal? Fingers crossed?!?!

Thanks in advance!

This is normal. CIC and CBSA are separate organisations. Shipping and importation are CBSA areas.
You need two different sets of B4 / B4a papers for "accompanying" and "to follow". Make sure that you are using the 2014 version of the B4 and not the old 2008 version. The B4a form is still the 2005 version.

Just answer any questions and don't worry. It will not be a problem.

I also have my copr in hand now and looking to land in 2-3 weeks

Do I really need to fill out this b4 form? I will just have my suitcase of clothing and my snowboards , I really don't see why they would want me to list stuff like clothing, make up etc

Also my height is wrong on my copr they have put 5ft 1 and I'm actually 5ft 5 will this matter?

Thanks

That is exactly what those forms are used for to avoid duty and or taxes on goods you already own. With out these forms being filled and presented there is always a possibility CBSA will charge you taxes on what your bringing in.

You don't need to be specific. All you need to list really is 'suitcase of clothing' x snowboards. That's it. No need to be specific about amount of jeans/shirts/underpants or anything like that. Just make absolute sure that is ALL you want to bring with you and you don't later 'remember' you wanted to import your car or something ;)

When my husband landed he just had his suitcase of clothes and stuff, and he didn't use a b4 form. He had just he basics(clothes, toiletries, bottle of rum) and that's really it with nothing to follow so it wasn't needed.

So...why are you waiting until the end of the month to land and not RACING to the nearest land border to flag pole NOW?!?!

Oh I know; because you filed Outland and haven't been waiting `forever + a day' to get through this `vortex'.

Congratulations!

haha... ACTUALLY, my "plan"has been to go back to the states for August, then return for september and stay until approval. I was NOT expecting DM so soon and my approval to meet me here on friday when i got back! I have already made travel, family and doctor plans throughout the month so i'm sticking to them. At least this way i'll be able get as much of my stuff i can fit in my car and bring it back! Plus my COPR was sent to CT, not canada, so i wouldn't be able to flagpole, and sending it to canada would probably cost just as much as the gas it takes to get here. :)

I have a question about the B4 form..I'm landing August 19th :p ;D I'm bring some jewelry but most of it is fake or play jewelry, nothing real. I don't have to get it appraised or anything do I? I'm a little nervous about landing...

Also...does anyone know in which terminal is the the Immigrant Reception and Information Services (IRIS) kiosk at Pearson Airport? I think that's where you get your sin# right? or is it just the application? I heard some people can get there sin# at the airport.

Thanks..any answers or responds would be most appreciated. :)

We are living in the U.S. and my husband will be landing Aug 31. I know, long weekend, maybe not a good idea but we already had a trip to Canada planned (didn't expect a decision so soon) Do we each have to fill out our own B4a (goods to follow) Me as a returning Canadian and him as a PR. The forms ask which one you are

Thanks, now here's the tricky question. I have a vehicle that I purchased in Canada, imported to the U.S. and am now returning with it. I know I have to export it from the U.S. and it is exempt from RIV but I never exported it from Canada. Who Knew!!! Can I just go and get it plated in Canada
