Thank you for that. So it says as follows, plus you cannot just come, for validating the CoPR and leave.

Travellers coming from outside the US who are exempt from the travel restrictions

So what are everyone with a short window period of COPR validity doing? Is everyone in a position to just get up and go resettle?
My COPR validity is coinciding with the medical validity, valid for the next two months. And the medical center here clearly informed that they cannot do a remedical without an official request.

Any suggestions.
Sadly there's nothing you can do. It's just a case of waiting to see what the next steps for us are.
I expect it will be a waiting for restrictions to ease and then joining the long queue of people waiting for an extension.

hey guys, this is such a great forum. I've been trying to follow to understand the documents required to travel to Canada at this time.

We were approved before 18 March 2020.
COPR visas expired in July 2020
COPR visas were extended on 17 Dec 2020 to May 2021

I also noticed people have been getting their AL about 24 hrs after the counterfoils were updated in their account. However, I haven't received the AL or ETA to date. Does this come in our account or as an email?

Do I need the AL to travel or are the new COPR counterfoils sufficient now?

tagging @whyCorona @13nitinsharma as you guys seem to understand and be very up to date with requirements. I appreciate any insight.
1. Once your application is picked by an officer, it will move back to "Submitted" status.
2. Your new counterfoil details will be added.
3. Your AL will be issued within 24 hours via email (as per the current trend but it may vary).

On the day of your travel, you need to carry your valid passport, AL copy (print it on bond paper, recommended), old COPR documents and air tickets.

Thankyou for your response. The pool of people waiting in anticipation just keeps expanding.
Is your Copr also valid for a short period ?

Yes it expires in February. I can't see anything changing before then. :(

@13nitinsharma does submitted status mean direct AL or could be asked for re-medicals?
