Hi All, received an email today from Ottawa VO that they are processing my application. Profile status is changed to Submitted from Approved. Expired Counterfoil, medicals all details are removed from my profile. I have already sent new medicals in the last RTT.

@whyCorona @13nitinsharma Any Idea about the next steps or how long it will take for AL
I got the same email But no changes in the status

Seems like they have processed your medicals and you might receive a new CoPR soon. @13nitinsharma is the one who can guess on timelines for AL.

I am not denying that we will not do quarantine, we are ready to do even my employer is paying for 14 days quartine for the complete family. question was if we can travel. What we are understood is people who have jobs they are allowed to travel, only question is do we need work permit or with COPR we are allowed. because even if you receive work permit VFS is not stamping sticker on your passport as they say you already have COPR which means you are authorize to work once you land. In our case we did not request a separate work permit as timelines are the same to get a PR and work permit.
There was one on this thread in the medical field who was asked by London VO to get the offer letter from Employer in Canada so that they could issue her the AL. She was a nurse or something like that. Not sure if her CoPR was issued before or after 18th March 2020.

What if you need some kind of letter or approval from someone that your job is exempted from travel restrictions?

Essential workers travelling to Canada, this includes: officials of a foreign government (including border service officers, immigration enforcement officers, law enforcement and correctional officers, who are escorting individuals travelling to or from Canada for a legal process such as deportation, extradition or international transfer of offenders), technicians or specialists specified by government authorities, personnel to support critical infrastructure (energy and utilities, information and communication technologies, finance, health, food, water, transportation, safety, government and manufacturing), business travelers for after-sales services, temporary workers entering for 15 or 30 days, and workers required for urgent repairs. A letter of approval issued by Canada is no longer required for these passengers;

I think you have done your homework well and should travel if you are confident enough. Actually there are different opinions in this regards. Make sure to have your employment offer letter with you while travelling so that you could refer the same to officials at airport while boarding and at port of entry. Avoid travelling close to your CoPR expiry date. Best of luck!

I think what he was referring to is the questionnaire in arrivecan app.
Once we select 'Entry by Air' it then asks if you are travel exempt? If yes it will ask the type of exempt travel:
Cross-border, essential services, medical support, trade or transport services - followed by flight info.

If we select No to exempt travel then it asks purpose of travel:
Family reunification, foreign worker(who holds valid work permit or who is exempt from requirement of work permit),study, compassionate grounds, non of the above.

So for a post march 2020 copr holder with valid job offer, which is the right way to go ahead.

If you are entering Canada for the first time with a COPR and PR visa, you should use the app as follows since there is no specific option for COPR holders:

My question is are we exempted to travel, I know some cases where people have both COPR and work permit and they are travelling, but in my case, I want to travel with my family, we were nominated by province so I have work permit support letter from province, not work permit, nomination certificate, COPR and PVR, documents from employer , so want to ask it is enough to travel we don't need any AL.

On top of that when I try to book ticket airline says .

A determination whether you fall under any of the exemption category is for IRCC or CBSA to make. Even if you fall in one of these categories, you need to demonstrate it to the carrier and then to the CBSA officer at the PoE.

Currently, if you are not expressly exempt, then you may not be allowed to board. Also, as per the above exemption, it is only for the person who is providing an essential service, and not to his whole family.

If you are landing in Canada as a CORP holder then your COPR should have been issued before March 18, or you should be expressly exempt.

This would be how I interpret this. I know some people have claimed that they successfully landed and claimed essential worker, but that is all anecdotal and unless you expressly are exempt, you will need something to prove the same.

My copr expired on May 1st 2020.I received a mail after RTT saying I will be contacted soon.
From experience can anyone brief me with the steps
1.Will I receive remed request
2.What will be the validity of new copr
Both me and my husband rejoined jobs.I am tensed of the timeline if we have to resign soon.Any advice would help
Sorry about that! I also just joined a job now after the frustrating wait.

Unfortuantely for us, we have to just carry on. Don't quit till the last minute. And don't worry about anything till IRCC replies and gives you your final landing details.
