hey, as far as i know essential skills although it mentions IT and communications in their website. Considering the current scenario , essential services include truck drivers, doctors,Nurses and other front line workers. My friend landed in canada too, he didn't quarantine because he is a physician and was hired for Covid duty hence he was exempted. You can land canada as long as you have a quarantine plan,an employment letter.
Actually essential services include quite a set of workers as listed and not just doc and nurses or truck drivers.

Hello,

My COPR expired on July 9th, 2020. Raised 3 RTT webforms in the months of Sept, Oct and Nov. Received 4Pt mail on 23/12. I have some queries regarding how to reply

1.Do you have a proposed and feasible travel plan with a single transit point to Canada? (If yes, attach proof such as plane tickets.) If not, are you willing to book and confirm such travel plans as soon as approved?

Is it necessary to book tickets and send the copy along with the web form? I have noticed that few people are yet to get any response from IRCC even after a month of replying to the 4pt mail. In that case, I'm not sure when to book the tickets. Yes, they have informed me that whether I will be able to book tickets once its approved, so I am hoping I can book later.

And also I have an Alberta PNP, I don't have any direct flight to Calgary. Is it ok to book tickets to Toronto and then a connecting flight to Calgary?

2. Proof of your plan to settle and remain in Canada such as;

o address where you will stay,- I hope an Airbnb room address will be enough

o lease agreement- what info to submit

o any other relevant information to demonstrate arrangements for your arrival- is it my travel plan from the airport to the place of stay?

Kindly share your opinions and experiences.

Below is the information I provided when I received the 4 pointer email on 2nd Oct 2020:

1) Reference email from friend (who is PR) for staying in his house which has private room and washroom. Email also mentions that he will arrange for food and medicines. [If you are booking an AirBnb then make sure to have access to essential items for first 14 days. Please demonstrate that how you are gonna arrange those items e.g. online delivery or take help from owner of AirBnB or a friend in Canada]

2) Using flight credits from previous cancelled flight to book direct flight. [You are not required to book flight tickets but you can provide a proposed travel plan that which flight you gonna take and your tentative date of travelling. Yes you can have connecting flights.]

3) Reference email from a potential employer in Canada and as a backup also mentioned about some employment plans like applying for job interviews. [If no potential employer or no job offer that please propose your employment plans such as applying for jobs in your skillset, its always good to have screenshots of various job opening at your destination location if you find them on internet]

4) Online bank statement of last 6 months. [Make sure to have enough POF]

I had also mentioned that I would travel as soon as eTA is issued.

Do your due diligence and don't care much about the processing time. If you are ready to travel and settle in Canada at this moment that it will be easier for you to provide the aforementioned information. They are actively working on Expired CoPR at this time as per latest trends.

As of now, my CoPR has been extended till Dec 2021 after instructed by IRCC to do remeds and I am waiting for AL or PPR.

If you fall under the category, then you can go ahead and select the option accordingly.

Not sure than what your question even was?
My question is are we exempted to travel, I know some cases where people have both COPR and work permit and they are travelling, but in my case, I want to travel with my family, we were nominated by province so I have work permit support letter from province, not work permit, nomination certificate, COPR and PVR, documents from employer , so want to ask it is enough to travel we don't need any AL.

On top of that when I try to book ticket airline says .

Essential workers travelling to Canada, this includes: officials of a foreign government (including border service officers, immigration enforcement officers, law enforcement and correctional officers, who are escorting individuals travelling to or from Canada for a legal process such as deportation, extradition or international transfer of offenders), technicians or specialists specified by government authorities, personnel to support critical infrastructure (energy and utilities, information and communication technologies, finance, health, food, water, transportation, safety, government and manufacturing), business travelers for after-sales services, temporary workers entering for 15 or 30 days, and workers required for urgent repairs. A letter of approval issued by Canada is no longer required for these passengers;

Got my re-meds done today as per IRCC instructions and notification in my GC profile.

However, under the "Current Status" in GC key its says "Your action is required" but no slot to upload the medical documents. Confused what to do here?

Fortis hospital in BLR told me they will send the results to IRCC directly in a few days.

Do I upload the medical info sheet using a webform?

@13nitinsharma @whyCorona any inputs highly appreciated!
When did you receive re-med request in your GC key??

You are not coming to Canada where you have a job in the health care sector and you have been granted exemption from the federal or Provincial health authorities.

So you will have to select foreign worker.
Yes I have read this and my skill comes under Information and Communications, the question here is, are we exempted to travel, because I saw some people requesting separate work permit and traveling. I am going to work in an E-Commerce company for their IT department. If I read BC essential skill guidelines it covers that too.
Buddy not sure how you're interpreting this but you must quarantine for 14 days regardless of what the app says. Exemption to travel and Exemption to quarantine requirement are two separate things. You need to find out if you're allowed to travel as your COPR is recent.
Your job may appear to be essential to you but likely its not. Only healthcare workers and truck drivers are considered critical services and exempt accordingly. Almost everyone else needs to fulfill and comply with the quarantine requirements.

I am not denying that we will not do quarantine, we are ready to do even my employer is paying for 14 days quartine for the complete family. question was if we can travel. What we are understood is people who have jobs they are allowed to travel, only question is do we need work permit or with COPR we are allowed. because even if you receive work permit VFS is not stamping sticker on your passport as they say you already have COPR which means you are authorize to work once you land. In our case we did not request a separate work permit as timelines are the same to get a PR and work permit.
