Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hi guys,

I am really happy to see this forum and some positive responses and i had a question which i would like to ask all your experienced people.

In my program i have a semester (4 months) dedicated for Internship for 6 months. So we are suppose to apply and use our coop work permit for the same on getting an internship offer.

What if I get a job offer instead of a internship, can i use my off-campus work permit?

I did go through the coop program and used off-campus work-permit for part-time jobs. Do verify my understanding below before you take any steps. You can also reach out to your university's international office and share your findings in this forum.

Off campus work permit allows you to work part time during full-time studies and work full-time during holidays (usually summer). I think as long as you are not enrolled full-time in university you should be fine. An important thing to note is that coop, if part of your degree program, is considered university education (means this may not be the official off-university time as you get credits towards your degree for an internship / coop). If you have found a job somewhere else, just let your university know that you will be working there. All they need to do is make sure that they consider this term as your coop and you should be good.

Ok. So if the college is accepting that experience. Can i use my off campus work permit in order to get paid for that job and not using my coop since its a job offer?
Thanks
