Contracting Positions - Seeking advice from Canada Visa.

I just completed a year of working in a 2171 NOC code position and applied for express entry and have a score of 444. I will get my ECA done (in process) and update my profile so hoping to get a 464 score. I am getting interviews for good positions but they are contract and I was hesitating to do so before since I was insure how it will affect my express entry profile.

But now that since I've applied for express entry, should i take these positions? Will I find any issues in the future after I get a pick (if I get a pick i.e).

I work in Toronto btw.. Any advice appreciated.

praneet87 - Perhaps, your question is not clear. However, I will try to answer what I have understood from the above query.

In case you are on Open Work Permit, you can work for any employer.
I assume you have yet not received the ITA from CIC and at the moment and you are trying to accumulate point for submitting your profile in Express Entry.

Contract position do not give you 600 points. Your job should be permanent supported by LMIA in order to claim 600 points.
Having said that, if you are 100% certain that you will receive ITA for PR from CIC without needing above 600 points then go ahead and join any contract position because you will not be needing their assistance. However, ensure you have got open work permit to work.

In the past, there has been a lot speculation over contract jobs and since i've spent 1 year doing a full-time permanent role, made myself eligible for CEC, can I take up a contract opportunity? without it affecting my application?

It will not affect your application. Go ahead and attend your interviews !!
Your contract position has nothing to do with CIC application process. You are not bound to stay in the same job.
