"Continuous employment" - with 4 weeks gap?

I will be declaring 1 year of continuous employment with my current employer, but there have been gaps of a few weeks in this past year - a 2 week gap and a 4 week gap. Would it be ok to declare these gaps, or should I try to get an employment letter that shows no gaps at all?

The gaps are because I got promoted and because of US student visa rules.
  • Summer 2017 - Paid internship with current employer
  • Last 2 weeks of September - stopped "working" for 2 weeks
    • Had to wait 2 weeks for CPT authorization to extend my employment to the school year
    • Got promoted to part-time
  • School year - worked part-time
  • Graduated Mid-June
  • Late June and early July - stopped "working" for 4 weeks
    • Had to wait 2 weeks for OPT authorization to extend my employment past my school year
    • Got promoted to full-time
  • Since mid-July - working full-time at current employer
One issue is that I don't want my employer to know that I'm applying for Canada PR. I was planning on telling them that I need an employment letter for US visa reasons, they're a small organization so they wouldn't know. But I'm worried that if I tell them to write an employment letter that doesn't declare these gaps, they might think that they're sending a letter that trespasses CPT/OPT authorization rules.

Thank you for listening!
