i am intersted in starting my own gas station ,7/11 or macs or husky.i tried to search online franchise fees and all but i m not getting any info ,can sombody share there experience or opinins on this pls.

1. GAS STATION:
Avoid this option. There's no money in it initially here. It'd take 5-6 yrs to break even, could be much longer under varied circumstances.

a) PetroCanada: No ownership scenario. They appoint u as Stn. Managers instead. And for that the charges r not realistic. Besides, most locations would be out of city - difficult to manage... The ROI will be killing-fields. And for some unknown reasons I find PetroCanada sites r dwindling... Most of them r being taken over by Husky.

b) Direct Buys: Any "within the city" ones would cost u over $1.5M??? How do u plan to recover the principal? At $700K++ u'd fetch a stn @ a remote site - off the highways. U might not even make $5000 a month - in sale.

BTW: Not a wise business proposal.

2. FRANCHISES:

Why do u want that?
Every bank has their own format [most have similar though]. And every org has their own format for an Offer Letter [again most r similar too].

I have also filed my Old application in 2006 under 3131 , Now i am planning to apply under Fast Tract. So is it necessary to withdraw OLD FILE FIRST ? or Both file can run parallel ?

After my Fast Tract file Approved then i can Withdraw Old ?

Dear Qorax,
I have apllied in new delhi office on 4th march 2010,I received medicals/PP request on 3rd Sep 2010.
and sent pp on 6th sep.2010. there is no out come as on today 24th nov.(2 months 22 days)
I sent the inquiry to CHC they replied,

"your Application is under normal processing and your passport shall be available to you in due course of time."

my concern is that some of my friends sent pp two week later they got visa two week back.
as per my CAIPS notes my criminal check is completed before issuing medical request.

should i order CAIPS notes again or wait for another two weeks? what reflects from reply they sent?
when should i aspect visa?

1. If they did - they were fortunate... else that timeframe is pretty much required.
