Hey All,

So I decided to take some time away from the forums to really help my anxiety with all this. During that time, my spouse and I, we came across a friend who happened to be a CIC Officer for ten years and is now an Immigration lawyer. We got to talking and we told him that we've been held up in Mississauga for the past seven months with literally no news. He said he;d take a look at our GCMS notes and let us know what he thought. After doing so he told me that it looks like the hold up is this OB 570. We told him we've been in review for it for quite a few months now. He said that it's highly prospective we would still be processed within the processing times. He himself mentioned that we could always contact our MP and maybe they could shed some light onto why it's taken them 6 months to see if we 'meet requirements'.
I mentioned that we had been detoured from contacting the MP since it might piss off the officers. He said no the officers don't care that much and if they ever did anything as a reaction to you contacting your MP, you'd have all kind of hell you'd be allowed to raise over it.
Basically just looking for opinions.

**OB570; He mentioned to us that after asking around that OB570 is (highly likely) a pilot project that just streamlines your application. But had no idea what exactly since it isn't publicly available yet.

Felt much better after talking to him and getting off the forums. Came back to share what I found. Let me know if anyone has any questions.

What is OB570 thou? And did ge say MP really could help?

He didn't know for sure what OB570 was, but he said after asking around that it was a pilot project and possibly why some people are being processed in Mississauga. He did say we could always go to our MP if we feel it's necessary. There shouldn't be any repercussions. Essentially the MP could look into why our application is taking so long.

Interesting. In your GCMS notes...do you have a statement that you are eligible for OB570 or it says they review whether you meet the requirements to be eligible for OB570?

In our GCMS notes, it mentions NOTHING about OB570.. the only reason it came up was that I called the CIC agent and she herself was freaked out and send a message to the officers and both the message and response were in our GCMS notes. It says:

"Back office team has yet to determine the final stream of this file. (although this file will end up at CPC-O) It is to be determined if this file meets the requirements for OB570 stream." -July.

and another in May saying:
"The file is still with back office review team at our office to determine if Pa meets OB570 and has not chosen the V/O yet."

So yeah.
