After being together 4 years with my Filipino partner, and waiting 2 years for his annulment which has been basically stopped by his ex, we are still apart and not able to marry. We had met and lived together 2 years overseas before we lost our jobs due to the economy. He was denied a visitor's visa twice. I believe we are one of the few couples who actually qualify for Conjugal Partnership and I am sending in our application soon.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what extra documents to include to support our case? I suppose I have to include his marriage certificate. It feels weird including all his ex's details as his spouse on the application form, but since she is still legally his spouse despite our efforts, I suppose it is necessary. They don't have any documents to indicate that they're 'legally seperated' but there are a few documents to the effect that she has tried to sue him a bunch of times and makes it her life's mission to make our life together as difficult as possible. The lady will not co-operate to anything. In the past we had sent her a sum of money to not make trouble with the annulment papers but she quickly forgot this deal after receiving it. At the moment the status of our documents were 'missing' (as she has a relative in city hall) and we had to re-file. I am not able to go back to the Philippines even if the annulment did come through as I am going back to university in the Fall and cannot afford it. I have already gone there 4 times, 2 times with the intention that the documents would be done and we could marry. (I want to go there with all my heart, but am working double time to support the both of us, to pay off my last trip there, and for my University in the Fall)
Any suggestions you would have to help our application would be great. Thanks!
