Confusion over NOC Code 2173 (Software engineers) and obtained qualification

Dear friends,

I am from India. I have done Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) in Electronics & Communication Engineering in year 2009. Post that I got job in IT industry and now I am Senior Software Developer in Automation Testing with 5 years of experience in software industry.

My doubt is as my qualification is in Electronics and Communication Engineering while work experience is in Software engineering, am I eligible for Skilled worker category under NOC Code 2173 (Software engineers)? :-[ :-[

Yes...all that matters is your roles and responsibilities....qualification does not matter..

yes, I had that confusion too. I completed my Bsc. in ECE in 2009, and am doing software engineering job for more than 4 years.
