Hi All, Hope somebody will be able me.

I have got an admit for SCM, Jan 15 Intake and have made my first semester fees. I am doing the graduate Certificate Program. 8months Course. i am having 6yers Work Ex.

I have some apprehensions regarding the visas

1) Once i complete the course, will I be getting a Post Grad Work Permit for 1yer or 8months.
2) If i get employed, is there any chance that my PGWP will be extended by the employer or will I Have to do another Grad Cert Program.

Hope someone will be able to clarify my doubts.

I'll help you with question #2.

Your PGWP cannot be extended. If an employer wants to you work for longer than the duration of your PGWP, then the employer will need to obtain an approved LMIA and then you will need to apply for a closed work permit.

No - taking another graduate certificate will not get you another PGWP. The PGWP is a one-time deal. Once you've applied and received it once you can never get another one again.

@ Scylla- Thank You.

I read online that it is difficult to get LIMA and the employers do not prefer the 8months Grad Cert Program. Is that true? Can u give any insight into this??

Yes - it's certainly difficult to get an LMIA. Employer must advertise the job for at least a month, pay a $1K processing fee, and then wait 6-16 weeks for the LMIA to be processed.

I can't comment on your other question.

hello Mr. Rakesh. at what college have you applied for SCM? I have got an offer letter from Humber for SCM Jan intake.
