Omg, that helps SO much! Thank you!
I've been sitting here this morning trying to read these "guides" that they provide for you online, and I almost feel like they go in circles, and are in a foreign language lol I don't get how they can help anyone when they're that complicated to read...blech

Would he be able to do his medical and FBI check from here then?

You guys are soo Helpful! So just to clarify- If I apply inland and my spouse is approved as my sponsor I will be granted a Canadian work permit?

Yes, after the 9 or 10 months it takes for stage one approval, and you must send in the OWP application with the PR application.

Medical yes... not sure about FBI, but probably.
I would definately do the outland route if I were you. Most outland Buffalo are completed in 6 months, well before the initial approval for inland. And he will be able to visit US whenever.

I feel so much better <3
Thank you SO much guys!
I love this forum :)

You are most welcome! These forums are great - I learnt a lot thanks to the people on here and am just trying to return the favour and pay it forward.

The guides are bad - I find its like reading income tax return guidance! I've found the call centre to be useful for specific queries - it was them I asked about whether I could apply Outland even though I was staying in Canada and the person I spoke to was very reassuring. We're also lucky here in Winnipeg that we can access free immigration advice which is funded by the province - so we have a free adviser who went through our options with us and even checked over our application before we sent it, all for free. It may be worth looking to see if you have a similar service on offer where you live...

Good luck!
