Confused about which visa to apply for?

Hi, I'm new to this forum but it looks like some of you guys might be able to help me.

I'm from the UK and would like to move to Canada in July. I have been together with my Canadian girlfriend for 2 years (as she was on a UK visa which ends in June) and plan to live with her parents in Ontario and can get a letter of invitation. I have a degree and 4 years work experience in Web Development/Programming.

I want to move over but don't know how long a temporary work visa can last?

I might be able to keep my UK based job but work from within Canada, what visa would i need then? And also what if my circumstances changed and i needed to get a job within Canada?

I also don't have any Canadian job offer, is that REQUIRED? Or are their other ways, such as keeping my current UK job or some scheme??

Any advice would be greatly appreciated,

Why dont you start with coming in as a tourist or TRV,look around and decide which way you want to go,You dont need a visa to come in

How long can you stay in Canada without a visa as a tourist/trv?

I am going to try and keep my current UK job so if i moved to Canada is that possible and would i need a visa for that?
