My partner and I have been together for 6 years and recently got married. I sponsored her after we had been common law for one year and she is now a conditional permanent resident.
After 1 year and several months of being a conditional permanent residency, she will need to move (within Canada) for a one year placement as part of her PhD program requirements.
Is there any way to get an exception for the conditional permanent residency in light of these circumstances? Does the fact that we are now married change anything?
