canadaukr said:oh wow I didn`t know that first year is not considered common-law...I arrived in Canada 4 November 2011 and we lived together since until March 2013 when we applied for sponsorship. I thought all this time as we shared household is considered common law and was over 2 years.
canadaukr said:thank you very much for the explanation! Anyway, if my spouse doesn`t look at my COPR, he will never find out that I have 2 year condition, right? I just showed him my immigrant visa in my passport and not the confirmation of permanent residence.
I will be landing soon when we come back from Mexico or Cuba vacation in September, I hope I can "land" and he won`t be close with me. The reason why I don`t want him to know is IN CASE of our fights which happen in almost every marriage I don`t want him to use this and threaten me that he may revoke my PR (when I had just temporary visa he used twice frighten me that he will send me back when we fought and it felt horrible). I don`t mind the condition because i love my husband and not going to divorce ever, I just don`t want him to know about it.

After all...he is 50% of this application process.
