Hi Everyone,

Just got our COPR in the mail last week (whoop!). However, we noticed that it has a condition 51 attached. We've been married a year, and living together for 8 years. Is this worth bothering about, or should we just leave it? Could it cause us any problems in the future? We obviously plan to live together in the coming two years in any case :)

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

If you applied as married and were married for less than 2 years (and no kids) at time of application, then condition 51 applies to you. Any time spent as common-law is irrelevant since you applied as married.

As long as you live together for next 2 years the condition should not matter at all to you. It's automatically removed after 2 years.

thanks for the clarification Rob_TO!
