Hey guys,

I have received my COPR 2 weeks ago, I haven't landed yet because I'm planing a trip in 4 weeks and I thought I would just land at the airport on my back back into Canada. That was fine but a new issue came up. Shortly after landing in Canada I will need to go to the US for a business trip but than I won't have the PR card yet.

At this point what is the best course of action to take? Should I try to get the PR card before my trip that is coming up in 4 weeks? I already have the ticket and everything.

Thanks!

You are allowed to travel to USA without the pr card as long as you go by car. Not by plane or bus

you could land on your return from the USA, as long as you land before the deadline on your COPR.

Otherwise, you can read about your options here -

If I apply for the PR card now from within Canada will they cancel my work permit and w1 visa?

If I land this Saturday can I expedite the arrival of my PR card so that I get it before 4 weeks? That would be ideal.
