Hi
I have had my academic qualifications assessed by Wes. All fine but they couldn't comment on my doctorate as it is a professional qualification and not a phd. I have since sent my paperwork to Wes who appear to be taking all the time on this earth to assess my doctorate, and I'm not sure whether they will even be able to do it. So here is the question, can i submit my application with my bsc and msc assessed and not my doctorate?
My doctorate is the professional qualification that I have for my occupation.
Any thoughts welcome as I am at my wits end.

In immigration CHECKLIST form number IMM 5612 (03-2014) E page number 4 it is written:

"To receive points of your education, you must provide proof that you have completed a Canadian secondary or post secondary educational program OR submit an original ECA report along with proof of the foreign educational credential for which you are claiming points."

Text which is underlined is related to your case, lets further dissect it:

1) Submit an original ECA report [This point is self explanatory]
2) Proof of the foreign educational credentials [i.e. photocopies of your educational documents attested from notary public]
3) For which you are claiming points [If you score 67 points without claiming points of your PhD, get ECA report without it]

With reference to bullet number three, please, be informed that if you are not claiming points of a document, you are not suppose to hide it.

If the points you receive with a masters degree is enough to qualify for FSW, then by all means you can go ahead and apply with the masters assessment. Your degree does not usually have to relate to your NOC when applying for FSW unless it is for one of the professional NOCs like physicians.

I have heard Wes has a weird sense of humor, they might add your doctorate to the Masters program. If it isn't taken from "Ivy-League" Status University, they will certainly throw it with the PG program, without considering the time and money spend. I know a person who has taken double PG, one from a state university and an other from a deemed university - What happened to her was, Her PG status wasn't confirmed by WES, not even a single one, They simply added it to her UG course-work.
