Common law sponsorship German with international experience Canada

Hi all,

I am a German citizen and currently living with my Canadian common law partner in Montreal on an international experience visa (open work visa valid for 1 year). We are now planning to apply for sponsorship & permanent residence under the common law sponsorship program. Unfortunately, we are not sure if we should take the inland or outland route. I am still a resident of Germany and have a German address. The inland route would, according to the cic website, take around 26 months, however, I think I can get an open work permit (bridge permit) during the application time. The outland route would take only around 10 months for Germany, however, I am already in Canada living with my partner... If we would take the outland route, should we then state in the questions that we are currently living together in Montreal? We find the paper application is not really straight forward and are not sure which route we should take. Any advice would we highly appreciated.

Kind regards and many thanks!
