We've been living together in Canada for over a year on visitor visas, and we're ready to apply for PR. However, we only have one piece of proof of our common law relationship. No names on bills or anything like that because under visitor visa, the visitor can't work. Since we only have one piece of documentation, what should we do? Should we send in the application anyways? Our name is on the lease together and that's the only real proof we have.

Thank you for your help!

Before you apply I suggest you create a Joint bank account, which I think you can as a visitor.

You can provide many proofs for common-law as a visitor. Joint bank account, supplemental credit cards in partner's name, show mail going to same address, list each other as beneficiaries in insurance products, as common-law for work benefits, changing marital status with CRA for tax purposes to common-law, etc etc.
