Hi guys,

My partner and I are finishing up our common law PR app.

I have a question about the proof of income, notice of assesment:

I have been living in Australia with my partner for a year and just recently came back to Canada with her.
I do not have the 2015 notice of assessment, since my income from inside canada was $0.

I do have however the 2014 notice and also a letter from my previous employer stating my income and length of employment (Im sure this is not relevant, but just double checking)

To prove this, should I write a cover letter stating that I have been living in Australia in the 2015 tax year, and provide the payment summary (document that australians use for taxable income)? and should I include the 2014 canadian notice of assessment just in case?

Thank you guys for your help!

Yes, that's perfectly fine.
