Hi,
Can some one help? i am presently living in canada and will be applying under the category of CEP. My common-law husband is living outside of Canada. Since the Statutory declaration form states that we both have to be present for the notary public to sign evidence of years of union does that mean I have to go home to my country where my common law husband lives to get this doc signed?
Thanks for your help

Yes, it does. In order to sign a statutory declaration and/or taking an oath, you and your spouse have to be present at the same time before the notary public, etc. Unfortunately, you can't do this via internet, fax or phone. Good luck!
