Hi my common law partner and I are applying for Canada. I am the main applicant.
We have not started our application but we are getting some things done way earlier (like statuary declaration, etc.) in case we were to separate because of job retrenchments etc as we are on work visas. Of course, we did get our WES results and will be doing our IELTS very soon. But we are getting the other things in order while we are together just in case
For funds, my partner will be getting a gift deed addressed to her, from her mom into her NRE account shortly.
We do plan to convert her NRE account into a joint account later / add me a recipient because I don't have a stable account as we keep moving and I want to save up some of my funds there itself.
Would I need to get an extra affidavit stating that the money is accessible to me as well? I don't know how to go about this.
