We will send our application at the end of this month but I have a few questions, I'm hoping someone can help me.
I'm an international student from Colombia, my boyfriend is a canadian citizien, we met in 2017, started dating in april of 2018, moved in together in novermber 2018
1. I got my FBI certificate ( lived in USA for 2 years) a year ago 2018, I haven't cross the border since 2017, is it still valid?
2. When the forms ask for our current marital status, what should we writte? Common law? we will be sending our application the next day after living together for a year
3. Also when the form ask when we enter the common law relationship which date should we enter? we moved in? or when we turn a year living together?
4. I'll be sending an application for work permit, but I'm not sure which form to send. On the common law guide says I should send the Application to Change Conditions, Extend my Stay or Remain in Canada as a Worker form [IMM 5710] but on other documents it talks about the open work permit.
5. Do we need to sign a Statutory Declaration of Common-law Union?
