Co-op work permit

Received acceptance letter from Humber College. Also received letter to apply for Co-op work permit. Can the application for the Co-op work permit be made at the same time the application is made for the study permit or does it have to be made only after the study permit has been received and from within Canada?

You can make both applications at the same time, if I remember correctly. I remember being advised to do both at once, because it can actually take longer to apply from within Canada.

Sounds like a good idea... So maybe I can submit both the student Visa application and the Co-op Work permit application at the same . What would be the name of the application form? I was thinking to use IMM 5710... would that be right if I am applying from outside of Canada?

What is the validity of CO-OP WP if we apply for it along with study permit?

Hey so I went back and looked at my original application - it was a while ago, but... when I applied on the main application form IMM5790E one of the questions asked if I wanted to apply for a work permit at the same time, and there I could select co-op work permit. Is that on your application form? I applied from inside Canada so it might be different though, sorry!

Since we have to apply for a co-op work permit i suppose we can do that along with our sp application. It has also been mentioned in the co-op permit pper provided by the college that it will be better if we apply together! so i have planned to do the same!

Actually the college sent an extra letter about the co-op wp and said to include it in the application .. so i think i'll just send both applications in at the same time.
