I had a question regarding the Client Id.. I read the response from some guys here that 'Client Id' refers to the Id number on the PR card. But on the Cic website they have mentioned that unless we were assigned a Client Id we should leave the space blank and they have mentioned that in bold letters.

So I am wondering if Client Id was the ID number on PR card, wouldn't they tell us the same in their explanation..

As I am applying for the citizenship now and as I am not assigned any Client Id before, can I leave this space blank?
Any thoughts?

Your "Client ID" is the UCI that is on your PR card (I think) and your COPR document (I know).

I think that on the PR card it looks like XXXX-XXXX

Hey!

Actually, The UCI part is for the administration, not for you! Don't write anything there!

In the application itself, they never ask you to provide your client ID, however, for your personal information, the client id is on the PR card and had the following form: xxxx-xxxx !

Good luck

I think one needs to enter the client ID on the payment confirmation slip (slip you gets when you have made the payment online) Client ID you will find it in right hand top corner of landing paper if you are an landed immigrant. Please correct me if I'm wrong here.

In the CIC website they have insisted not to write anything there for first time applicant.I did not put anything.

Yes Lilua, you are right. That is what I was confused about... I saw many posts saying 'Client Id' that is to be mentioned on the payment receipt is the PR card number but the cic website says the first time applicants are not supposed to put anything.

Am confused... wondering if it is better to send without writing anything.

I put nothing and my application is in process and received AOR. My payment has also been received by CIC. So it is better not to mention anything.

Oops, I put my client ID from my PR card (xxxx-xxxx) and sent my application package already; I hope it won't be a big problem.

I'm sure they get a lot of that. I didn't put anything into that space. I don't think it's a problem, though, they'll correct it. They look at the "bigger picture".
