Clear Processing Times for Asylum Seekers 2021

I have been reading crazy things in this forum like some people are getting a decision within 5 months and others still waiting since 2 years.

Can people who applied for Asylum in 2021 in Canada tell us their processing is faster when compared to people who applied 2 years ago? Please share your processing times with us.

I suspect new asylum claimants are being processed through a different funnel entirely.

Probably haven’t been a significant number of applicants in 2021 as the border have been closed to most entries. Refugee claims at the US/Canada border have been turned back to the US.

Extremely variable. Some are waiting for eligibility interviews for 6+ months to file their claim.
