clarity needed on moving before PR approval

morning all,
am up bright and early as just had late night/early morning phone call with wife

anyways we are awaiting sponsorship approval atm
am planning on going over in the summer and awaiting PR from inside canada

could someone clarify for me what exactly needs to be done for this to happen?
i am wanting to book return tickets as we can come home and visit
i know i run the risk of having to have an interview in london
but apart from that what do i need to do to make this happen?

You are visa-exempt, being from the UK, so on entry to Canada you would normally be given 6 months' stay. Having a return ticket and proof of your ties to England are recommended, although you may not need it. Definitely take along some proof of the submission of your application, and if your wife isn't traveling with you, make sure she's available in case the border official wants to speak with her (not likely, but not impossible, either). You should be fine, many other UK applicants have waited out their processing with their Canadian spouses in Canada.

we fly into toronto and my wife is up in thunder bay so she wouldn't be able to be in toronto, but i could tell her to be available via phone?
also am worried about the pets, should i send them ahead of me as it will be more obvious i am hoping to stay?

i am confused really, i know i can stay for 6 months IF they let me in, can i actually tell them the whole truth, ie. i am coming for six months to be with my wife and am hoping for PR during that time?


also, my 13 yr old daughter is coming with me.
it doesn't look like i can enrol her in school (without paying lots of dollars!!) so will they be concerned about that?
my wife and i are very keen to home school her
she, however pulls a face whenever we mention that idea! LOL
