Clarification on : Two or more certificates, diplomas, or degrees.

Hello there ...
i studied a 5 years architectural engineering program which is assesed as a bachelor degree by WES
Now i need to increase my points so i decided to go for an MBA in Project Managment (48hrs course)
The university told me incase i wanna continue abroad i can only study for the first year (24hrs credit) and earn a graduate diploma in business managment
My question here incase my points for 2 or more degrees will be enough for me (no need for taking another year for Masters) to get an ITA by next year can i apply this 24hrs credit graduate diploma and still get recognized as a diploma + my other B.sc degree or they wont accept a 24 cedit hour diploma (one year duration) as an equivelant in canada ?

Better check wes website if you can find it on the list. Im confused about thisc48 hours masters. There are one year diplomas you can do instead.

In the free tool there is no diplomas but inside the ECA application there is beside if i dont wanna continue after the first year i can be granted a graduate diploma in business adminstration (for 8 subjects with total 24hrs credit ) then i can apply to WES

Any input would be greatly appreciated, just want to make sure that I am thinking correctly.

WES evaluated my 5 years education as Master's, I also have a 2-year Canadian Diploma, so:

1. I can I choose my level of education as "Master's degree, or professional degree needed to practice in a licensed profession" ?
2. I also have an option to choose "Two or more certificates, diplomas or degrees. One must be for a program of three or more years" ?
There is a 7 points difference, so just wanted to be sure.

Hi Guys,

Any input would be highly appreciated. I am currently working as a software engineer for the past 6 years (past 3 in US) and planning to apply for Express Entry. I have the following education :
1. B.Tech in Electronics and Communication (4 years) from a reputed university in India
2. One year Certificate course in German from a university (one of the universities from here : link)

I am planning to apply for WES evaluation but I have a question before that. I wanted to know if someone can give me insights whether the certificate course would make me eligible for two or more certificates criteria? Or it won't be considered outright?

The reason I am asking is because I have all the documents ready for my WES evaluation for my Bachelors degree. But, for the german certificate, I will have to get the transcripts and everything which is a lengthy process.

I have similar query also regarding select 'the two or more certificates, diplomas or degrees' :
1- I have Bachelor Degree 4 years already evaluated from WES
2- I am studying now level 4 diploma which is 120 Credits - is this will consider after finishing it as two or more certificates

You misinderstood it. Wes doesnt write two or more. You have two bachelors which will give you points for two or more

Thanks for your response but I want more clarity around this as I have one bachelor degree and after that 1 year diploma from Panjab University. When I enter information in the EE Profile do I enter both separately and enter the WES reference # for them as I got these evaluated individually.

For my B.A ..... Canada Equivalency = Bachelor's degree (four years)
French 1 year Diploma ..... Canada Equivalency = Completion of a college-level certificate (one year)

But Canada Equivalency Summary = Bachelor's degree (four years)

Hello guys,

I have a weird query but i didn't know where else to ask.
I am an architect with b.arch which is a 5 year full time degree .I got it evaluated through Wes and the report came out as "bachelor's degree (4 years) '".

1. My question is is that ok ? Or should I mail them letting them know it's a 5 year course. If they still consider it 4 year course will they give extra qualification for rest of 1 year study so that I can pick 2 or more degrees in Express entry profile ?

2. Also Architecture is a regulated profession which needs license to practice both in .india and in canda. So when filling up my education details in Express entry , should I select the option of "master's or license to ebtry profession ".

I am really confused as there is very little information regarding my profession. Please any help would be highly appreciated.

Can you confirm if i do Specialization Certificate which is of 5 months (12 credit hours)
after my 4 years bachelors degree, and this certificate requirement is 16 years of complete education.
Will i get 2 or more degree evaluation?

No it should be a diploma/ certificate of 1 year or more .... over n above your 3 or more year degree

what was your ECA for those diplomas?

I haven't applied for ECA because I want to know that does my PGDCA is valid or not although my university from where I had done my PGDCA in distance education is UGC approved university but does WES consider distance education course valid? I'm also attaching the link https://www.ugc.ac.in/oldpdf/Consolidated list of All Universities.pdf which shows Total No. of Universities in the Country as on 23.08.2018 in India. My university serial number is 761 Kindly help me out whether this PGDCA course will help to enhance my crs score or not?
