Hello Friends, Have couple of questions regd my Citizenship application [Oct 2020 Applicant]

1. When I see the tracker I noticed few people mentioning about "Urgent Processing". What does this mean?

2. I completed my test on June 23rd. how much time do you think it might take for oath ceremony invite? Does anyone from Oct 2020 applicants has got Oath Ceremony invite?

Since you are an October 2020 applicant, you can post your discussions in the relevant October 2020 thread.

I believe you'll have to wait for a while because there are a LARGE number of 2019 applicants that are still waiting for oath. Look at the 2020 spreadsheet (link is in my signature towards the bottom).

Urgent processing is for applicants who want their applications to be processed urgently for a valid reason.

Read about it here => https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...p/become-canadian-citizen/apply/urgently.html

I sent a request for urgent processing. My application is 2016, and it is a family application. I believe that should be enough to process urgently.
I did not get the GCMS notes, although I had applied for it 50 days ago.

Nope, you get it all wrong being a family application isn't a reason for urgent processing.

It is 2016 application.
you should be able to contact your MP if the application is pending more than 4 years. That is a very strange non-routine application. I believe you can even open a lawsuit to IRCC to finalize the status (either rejected or accepted as citizen).

How many days to receive the GCMS notes? Is it more than 50 days? I am concerned they even do not want to send me the notes.

Yesterday i saw one person received at 45th day. Standard time is 30 days but nowadays it takes time.
I received in 30 days on 11th.

When did you request for urgent processing?
Did you call the callcenter to see if they see any notes/acceptance on your urgent request?
How come you are so patient for 5 years?
Did you complete test or background check yet?

I requested on Thursday. How many days to see if IRCC accepted the request? (When to talk to call center regarding the request?) I completed the test, but it seems that the background check will last forever. I did fingerprints a year ago, and till now IRCC has not updated to completed.

You can call today itself to see if they see the urgent request. if they are not seeing it then tell that you have already requested and request them to make a note on file and send a message to the local office to review your urgent request. lets see if calling the call center pushes things on urgent request.

Why 20 pages were withheld from GCMS notes pursuant to section 16 (1) (c) ? Is that normal?
