Dear fellows

I've received an invitation for the citizenship test and interview. Does anyone have experience with this process? Will it be solely a test or will there be an actual interview as well?

If you're invited for test AND interview, well, expect both.
Also, it's a routine process, everyone before covid was subjected to it, and it happens for select applicants now. Don't worry about it as the interview is usually a routine conversation. It's only troublesome for people who barely speak the language.

@newnew

So i saw in a previous post that you said your online test result from abroad wasn't accepted for some reason and hence the in person invite. So i take it you had to change your plans and fly back to give the in person test & interview ?

@Seym

I'm planning a couple of vacations/trips abroad, but also expect my citizenship test invite to come through around the same time frame i.e. in early 2026.

If you happen to have an idea - I'm just wondering how common it is to get an 'in-person' test invite and if i should just hold back on all my future travel/bookings/visas/expenses till i get the test and possible other 'in person stuff' (example : fingerprints request) done with ?
