Hello all, I submitted my citizenship application in april 2026, and today i received an email with uci and application number saying acknowledgement receipt. Is that supposed to be my aor?
What will be the next step now and how long its still gonna take?
I am planning a trip to visit my family in early September for 2.5 months, i was wondering if i can cake my citizenship tests and oath ceremony by sitting home and being out of country.

You are unlikely see much movement in your file before September but if you get a test request you can request to do it from abroad. Expect in very rare circumstances you need to be in Canada to take the oath. It shouldn’t be scheduled until you return from your visit abroad so won’t be an issue.
