Hi All - Keeping the timelines displayed/ put in the official website for getting the citizenship aside, assuming that I file my application for Citizenship immediately after the completion of 3 years of my stay in Canada, may I know the approximate number of months it is taking to get the canadian passport in hand ? Is it that, it varies from case to case ? In that case, if everything goes well (process was smooth with all the necessary documents in place), within how many months I will get the Canadian Passport in hand ?

Also, immediately after getting the Canadian Passport/ Citizenship, can I go on vacation to some other country for a continuous 3 months period ? OR is there any rule of minimal stay inside canada in a year, so as to keep the citizenship valid ? Kindly advise. Thank you.

rgds, Geo

Nobody can give you an answer without using the posted processing times. Right now, 23 months to get citizenship, then it takes a few weeks to get a passport. Once you are a citizen, there are no residency requirements, you can enter and leave Canada as you want.
