:D There is a way easier than having to take another, fresh IELTS exam! That is by acing the citizenship exam itself, scoring 19/20, 18/20, etc. So far, all the posters who wrote about their success stories of using photocopies of IELTS without any problems DID manage to get good scores on their citizenship exams. That is one way of avoiding the interview, theoretically, because if the scores are high chances are that candidates won't be asked for interviews. If one is unfortunate to encounter an interview, then originals are needed.
could you please explain what you mean !!!! do you mean origional is not usually asked unless someone is failed at the exam and required for an check up interview ?

could you please tell me how hard is it to score high on this exam and what do you recommend reading to get a high score

thanks

Hello. Let's think about it simply. Originals are not asked for during application submission. Only photocopies are needed. Then comes the date of the exam. Those who get high scores are not usually asked to attend an interview. Suppose your score is at the border line. Then they may ask you to attend an interview and during an interview the want to see originals, not photocopies.

So, one must prepare adequately in order to do very well on the exam.

The above is what happens in general. There may be exceptional cases where individuals with high scores may be called for an interview even though I have not heard of such cases yet. Others could confirm/debunk that.

There are some good posts on other threads that mention how to prepare for it, in detail. I can say that the official sources are the "Discover Canada" book and resources on the IRCC website. Helpful also are online practice questions, etc etc. Please see others threads for details.
