Hey all, need your help to understand a invitation letter that me and my wife received form IRCC today. We gave our citizenship test back in August'23 and both passed and our portal showed Citizenship test completed. We were waiting for the oath date but unfortunately today we got this email where it is inviting us for an interview at their Scarborough location. I am just trying to understand do we need to give the citizenship test again or we just have show our documents and answers questions regarding those ?? anyone have any experience like this ??

INVITATION TO AN INTERVIEW WITH A CITIZENSHIP OFFICIAL
AND VERIFICATION OF IDENTITY/DOCUMENTS

Please read this letter carefully as it contains instructions to do before and during the interview.

We are pleased to inform you that you have reached the next stage of your application for Canadian citizenship. The citizenship interview will take place at the date and time stipulated above. Before the Citizenship Interview

On the day of this event, you will be interviewed by a citizenship officer or agent to verify your identity and the documents you provided at the time you applied for citizenship.
 IMPORTANT: You must notify IRCC immediately by writing a message to IRCC.DNSCRCitizenshipE-Test-ExamenenligneCitoyenneteSCRRN.IRCC@cic.gc.ca . if any statements made or information provided in connection with your application have changed since filing your application for citizenship, such as immigration or criminal proceedings that have been brought against you.
To attend the citizenship interview in person, you will need:
 Two (2) pieces of photo identification (ID) with your signature on it, such as
o your permanent resident (PR) card (even if it’s expired) and
o a valid government issued photo ID.
 All your original documents that support your citizenship application (as listed in the document checklist in the citizenship application form).
 Permanent resident card (if you have ever received one).
 All original passports and travel documents in your possession (current and expired).
Note: Any documents that are not in English or French must be accompanied by:

An affidavit is a document on which the translator has sworn, in the presence of a commissioner authorized to administer oaths in the country in which the translator is living, that the contents of their translation are a true translation and representation of the contents of the original document. Translators who are certified members in good standing of one of the provincial or territorial organizations of translators and interpreters of Canada do not need to supply an affidavit. Translations by family members are not acceptable.

N.B.: Passport(s) and travel document(s) stamps that are not in English or French must also be translated.

During the Citizenship Interview
 Only those scheduled for the written test or interview are allowed in the testing/interview room. If you cannot make suitable arrangements for child care, your appointment can be rescheduled for a later date.
 The use of scented products, such as perfumes and colognes, may cause others to experience discomfort such as headaches, dizziness, shortness of breath, and skin irritation. As a courtesy to our clients and employees, we kindly ask that you refrain from wearing scented products in our offices or when attending off-site ceremonies and appointments.
 Please see below for additional information on attending an in-person citizenship event during the pandemic.

Many thanks for the reply, instructions are really confusing on the letter. Me and my wife we both got the same letter and same time so I am assuming we will have our interview together.

This is just the standard process every single applicant had to go through before covid and the in-person tests.
it always took place right after the test since you were already at IRCC's office, but the only other link it had with the test was that the officer gave you your score... So no, you won't need to redo the test.
It's just a simple chat, generic questions about your life. The officer may glance at your docs, or look at them with a bit more attention, but in all cases, you'll be done in 10 minutes.
