citizenship date: please help

hello all

i came into canada as a landed immigrant/british citizen. in the application form, it asks the day i obtained my canadian citizenship. i know it was in april and i also know the year (as it's indicated on my citizenship card) but i'm not sure of the exact date. my mom knows it's between 22nd-24th but it's sure of the date.

question: if hte date is off by a day or two, will it cause a big problem? how hard is it to obtain that info and how long can it take. i've heard up to three months if i request a citizenship certificate but is there another way?

When I got my citizenship, we were specifically told to take good care of the paper form citizenship certificate because it is the only place you will see when you became a citizen. I guess they didn't tell you that.

As far as I know, there is no other way to know unless you can ask your local CIC office where you became a citizen if they have a log of any citizenship ceremonies being held between the 22nd and 24th. It is unlikely it was 2 days in a row. You can also try phoning the CIC call centre and asking them.
