Citizenship Applications to be sent as Family or Single

Hi,
I am planning to send the citizenship applications with my wife during end of Nov 2016.
Can anyone advise me about the advantages and disadvantages for sending the applications as "Family together in one envelope" or " Singles in two separate envelopes" ?

If you apply as a family together, you will both get your citizenship at the same time. However, if one of your applications has an issue, you both wait.
