Thank you so much for your answer.
I am applying for citizenship for me, my wife and my daughter at the same time.

under Adult Applying under subsection 5(1)
there is a link for minors
"To apply for Canadian citizenship for your child (under 18 years of age), complete the Application for Canadian Citizenship — Minors (CIT 0003)."
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/citizen/CIT0003E-2.pdf

is there any checklist I need to provide for my daughter minor application?
How many checklist should I add to my application? 3 checklist? 2 Adults and 1 child

please help

Your initial checklist was wrong.

As you are applying for yourself along with your family, you must use the following links only:

For kids under 18: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/minors.asp

For everyone else over 18 including yourself http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/adults.asp

my wife got her english exam at the
Catholic Social Services Immigration and Settlement Services

can we use that?
English exams that are from third parties not listed in IRCC website will not be accepted unless you attended a post-secondary institution (university or college) and completed a program, not a single course, in English.

I did send a cover letter saying: Dear IRCC this is a family application package for Canadian citizenship (2 adults) and wrote our names. That;s it. I just wanted to advise them that there are two applications within just in case.
Who did you address for the cover letter, i.e. Immigration Officer / Visa Officer etc. etc.?

1) start at 2016
2) if you mean on the calculator, then yes that's what I did. I put the start date the same as the eligibilty start date, and end as the day before I became PR. I initially set the start date the same as on my work permit, however got a warning message saying that part of my date is outside the eligibility or something along those lines.

Given they only care about the eligibility period, I think it's fine.

Yes, I got the same message as well when I tried to put the start date of my work permit after my study permit. They only care about 5 years from the day you sign the application going back....

I also find the application process for citizenship less complicated than PR.

In Canada since October 2012. Landed as a PR on March 8th 2014.
As I will filling for five members of my family in one bundle, can i staple each application form with relevant supporting documents or stapling is not allowed? Also, what the best way to send the photograph as we cannot glue or staple it? Do we have to write person's name in the back of the photo?
If you really want to separate each application, then please just use a paperclip. If the officer that looks at your case likes to have them separated, then great. If they don't, then it's very simple/quick/easy to remove a paperclip (compared to a staple, which is annoying).

Thanks. But for each similar document, should we have to staple, i.e. the application has 6 pages...should be staple them together?

You were a temporary worker until your refugee claim was approved, so if I were you I would write the following in the form:

First status: the status you had to enter Canada (visitor visa?)

Second status: worker (write the date your temporary work permit was issued before a final decision was made on your refugee claim), the end date of your worker status must be the date on which your refugee was approved.

third status: refugee (write the date your refugee was approved and the end date will be when you became a PR)

actually My work permit expiry date was March 2013 and I applied for refugee January 2013.
so should I count my work permit till its expiry date or till I applied for refugee?

Your status as a worker (different from the validity of documents to support such status) goes from the date the work permit was issued until the date your last work permit expired or the date your refugee claim was officially approved (CHOOSE THE EARLIEST DATE).

I wouldn't staple anything, no. As I said, staples are much more of a pain to remove. As long as you put them in the order on the document checklist, I don't think there will be any confusion. Again, if you really feel the need to separate anything (overall application, specific bits of it, etc.), then paperclips would be much better as they're simple to remove if the officer wants to.

Hello,

So I sent in my application with 1470 days presence, however, I forgot to add my flag pole date (exiting Canada ground border and come back at the same time to land for my PR) in the calculator. Is anybody here with the same situation? Any suggestion what we should do now? Any chance I get refused because of this? IRCC call center is so busy that it even doesn't put me in the queue!

Regards,

Ramin

Hi everyone, I’m new to this forum. I sent out my application today. It should reach on Monday.
