For the love of god.
Please do not mail in your ORGINAL PR cards etc.
Only PHOTO COPIES.
For Passports : You just need the BIO PAGE; that has your photo and details.
You do not need to send stamped pages.

Guys, has the document checklist changed? some people seem to be referring to a new one. however, i still see the old one showing up online.

Do we also need to send the passport pages which have stamps for visiting other countries or just first and last bio page?

How about if you have old expired passport? Do we send the same for this passport as well?

This "living outside Canada question" is beyond frustrating. Because if you tick "yes" you are asked to fill a form that doesn't even apply to your situation. The question should ask "have you lived outside Canada and do you intend to claim those days for residency".

Seriously, IRCC, get your sh*t together.
Which form you are asked to fill if you tick "Yes" for 10, from where you got this instructions, its WRONG.

Well now I'm gonna cry.

I paid the fees but the confirmation timed out on the CIC website.

According to my bank, the $630 transaction went through and they cannot cancel it.

But there is nothing in my "Receipts" on the CIC website. I did not get an email.

And I cannot get through on the phone to call anyone about it. It gives me a message about too many calls and hangs up.

:( :( :(

I mailed photocopies of my PR confirmation + PR card and the bio pages of my passports, didn't scan my whole passports. For my ID I mailed a photocopy of my Quebec health insurance card
I did the same.

They are very clear, I don't understand why are we getting confused.

I am in the same situation. It is very confusing and frustrating. Obviously, CIC misses "Landing date" in their online calculator. If that option was used all misunderstanding would have been avoided as this option would have changed the eligibility period for all people who are in Canada for less than 5 years . How come, for example, I am 4 years in Canada and they ask me if I left Canada in the last 5 years???

So confusing, they immediately need to update their online physical presence calculator. Obviously, CIC missed this.
bro I m on same page confused as I landed in 2014 now worried should I consider eligibility period from 2012 and then need one year police certificate from back home as well. Almost crying please guide me

Hi, I have a question: the online calculator says my eligibility period is from 2012-10-11, but at that time I was still in my own country until I came to Canada in December. In question 11, do I need to write the info for the two months (from October to December, 2012). If not, will it be counted as missing periods?

Either wait for it to clear up or pay again. You can always ask CIC for a refund. And if there is no confirmation sent to you, likely it will not be charged to your credit card.
