@waitin_4_csq , I am in a similar situation as you.
Have you applied for your citizenship? Anything to be wary of before I apply?
Hello,
I don't know how much similar your situation is to mine, but all I can say is that I applied a couple of months ago and I am still waiting for AOR. so it'll take some time before I can share my end to end experience.
Would go over the entire thread, all pages. There's a lot of good advice here on this specific question.

Like it was said, I'd recommend going over the entire thread. It was a very interesting discussion, different angles of interpreting my situation and how my application would be perceived by IRCC.
I will update the forum in case there is a development!

Hello any update on your application?

Hello any update on your application?
The last update was in Feb, apparently was given a date to take the oath.

Hasn't logged in since the day before the oath, so assuming all went well and OP became a citizen already.

Oh that's amazing to hear! One of my friends is in a similar boat. I will let him know! Thank you

Hello any update on your application?
Yes, I became a Canadian citizen last month!!
As I mentioned before, in my application I included a letter of explanation and a record of employment to show that I was laid off, which is why my relocation plans changed.
Funny enough, I also found a job opportunity in Toronto and started in mid-January (I doubt this played a role since it was quite late in the citizenship process, but who knows).
The process went smoothly, it took less than 6 months from the day I applied to the oath ceremony.
Again, I provided all the proof I had to show that my situation genuinely changed from before EE PR vs after, and that I didn’t really have a choice but to stay in Quebec for my master’s...
Good luck everyone!
